Looking for some Arbor Day fun for the whole family? Virginia Beach History Museums has a full slate of free festivities at the Thoroughgood House, 1636 Parish Road, from noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, April 29.
Thoroughgood House visitors young and old can enjoy an all-day scavenger hunt, as well as participate in hands-on craft activities like making a pinwheel and paper tree. The Thoroughgood Master Gardeners will also be on site to answer questions and give information about the Thoroughgood House colonial garden.
Thoroughgood House is normally open for tours from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays. Due to this special event, the house will be open from noon to 7 p.m. on April 29.
Thoroughgood House Arbor Day activities and tours are free and open to all ages. Advanced registration is not required, but if you have any questions, please contact Virginia Beach History Museums staff at [email protected] or call 757-385-5100.
