FAYETTEVILLE — Arkansas softball, new off its very first SEC Event championship, will contend for a national title as the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. As a major-16 seed, the Razorbacks will host a regional at Bogle Park.
The Fayetteville regional also involves Oregon, Wichita State and Princeton.
Arkansas (44-9) will perform its 1st opponent, Ivy League champion Princeton (27-15-2), at 5 p.m. Friday.
The winner will experience the winner of the game in between Oregon (31-17) of the Pac-12 and Wichita Condition (33-16) of the American Athletic Convention on Saturday at 1 p.m. in the double-elimination regional. The championship recreation is Sunday at 1 p.m.
Arkansas and Princeton will be conference for the initial time. The Razorbacks are -2 from the Ducks and 10-4 against Wichita State. Arkansas defeated the Shockers, 7-4, on Feb. 19.
The Razorbacks are internet hosting a regional for the second straight year. Arkansas state-of-the-art to and hosted super regionals in 2021 but fell to 11-seeded Arizona to drop short of the Women’s Faculty Planet Sequence in Oklahoma Metropolis.
The 2022 match will be Arkansas’ 11th NCAA Tournament physical appearance in its 25-calendar year heritage and its fifth under coach Courtney Deifel. The Razorbacks have under no circumstances highly developed past super regionals.
